HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blazers found themselves down early again, but sophomore goalkeeper Jack Bousquet (Clinton, Conn.) made some great saves to keep the game close for the Blazers. Throughout the first half, Elms struggled to get any offense going, a shot by sophomore forward/defender Ibrahim Ayouba (Springfield, Mass.) failed to find the back of the net to get the Blazers even with Brooklyn. Late in the first half, the Bulldogs struck again and went up 2-0 going into halftime.
Elms showed signs of life early in the second half, as junior midfielder Jelani John (Castries, Saint Lucia), senior forward/midfielder Wai Kyaw (West Springfield, Mass.), and senior midfielder Pajorn Drysdale (Nantucket, Mass.) would record shots on goal, but Brooklyn stood strong and continued to blank the Blazers. Bousquet would make some good saves in the second half, but Elms could not find any luck on the offensive end and fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs in a tough non-conference matchup.
