HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blazers started out the game aggressively again, as in the tenth minute senior forward Jacobo Molina Ferrer (Valencia, Spain) would score yet another goal, assisted by senior midfielder Pajorn Drysdale (Nantucket, Mass.) to put Elms up 1-0. Elms continued to focus their efforts offensively, but failed to get back on defense a couple of times, which resulted in a SUNY Cobleskill goal, which tied the game 1-1. However, the Blazers were not deterred, as Molina Ferrer would continue his outstanding season and score his second goal of the half, assisted by freshman midfielder/defender Casimir Pierre, Jr. (Carfoure, Haiti) to put Elms back up 2-1. The Blazers buckled down defensively and took advantage of a couple of Cobleskill mistakes, as right before halftime, senior forward/midfielder Wai Kyaw (West Springfield, Mass.) would score for Elms, assisted by junior midfielder Andrew Velasquez (Ellington, Conn.) and senior forward Leonardo De Moura (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) to put Elms up 3-1. The Blazers would heavily control the ball in the second half and limited Cobleskill's possessions on offense, which resulted in a 3-1 win for Elms, their third win in four games on this young season.
