Men's Volleyball Sweeps GNAC Weekly Awards

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their weekly award selections for the week ending on January 18th Monday afternoon.

Five Blazers would earn conference weekly accolades this week for their accomplishments on the court.

Junior Nick Uschmann (Agawam, Mass.) would be named GNAC Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after adding 38 kills, 11 blocks, seven service aces, and three assists for the Blazers against SUNY Purchase, Lehman, and Vermont State-Johnson this last week.

First year Chris Bousquet (Springfield, Mass.) would be named GNAC Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after recording 35 receptions, 31 digs, and six assists this past week for Elms.

First year David Dzhenzherukha (Agawam, Mass.) would be named GNAC Men's Volleyball Setter and Rookie of the Week after making 98 assists, ten digs, five service aces, four kills, and four block assists this last week for the Blazers.

Sophomore Mary Turco (Winthrop, Mass.) and junior John Bellafronte (Enfield, Conn.) would be named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll in Women's Basketball and Men's Volleyball.
