DeGrazia Named GNAC Swimmer of the Week
BOSTON, Mass. – Elms College sophomore women's swimmer Devon DeGrazia (Westport, Mass.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week for the week of Dec. 5-11 as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
DeGrazia, who has now earned two GNAC weekly awards, notched a winning time of 11:18.33 to set a new Elms school record in the 1000-yard freestyle, edging UMass-Dartmouth by 14 hundredths of a second to come back and win the race. She also won the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.40) and was second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.35) and was part of 400-yard freestyle relay time that recorded a time of 4:05.59 (exhibition).
