Holman Selected as 3x GNAC Rookie of the Week

Great Northeast Athletic conference: Rookie Of the Week (Oct. 9th- Oct. 15th)

CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College women's volleyball team is proud of their first year Jaylen Holman as she was selected for the third time this season as Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

Jaylen Holman a first year setter from Las Cruces, New Mexico has been selected as the Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, her third recognition this season! Not only did Holman have one game that she dominated in, she carried it into mltiple matches this past week. Starting on Tuesday (Oct. 11th) against Colby College, the first year had 21 assists  to begin her outstanding week. Including the face off against the Nichols College Bison on Thursday (Oct. 13th), where Holman recorded 37 assists and 14 digs in the match to help the Blazers strike down the Bison in a 3-0 final. With a tri-match on Saturday (Oct. 15th) the Blazers faced the Rivier Raiders where Holman had 12 assists and 9 digs. Followed by the Regis College Pride, Holman started and had a total of 18 assists with 24 digs, despite the tough fought match they Blazers fell to the pride 0-3. In both matches the first year attained a double double. 

Jaylen Holman ended the entire week with a total of 88 assists and 51 digs in four total matches played.
