Holman Selected as Rookie of the Week

Great Northeast Athletic conference: Female Athlete of The Week (Sept. 18th-Sept.24th)

Jaylen Holman a first year setter from Las Cruces, New Mexico has been selected as the Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week! Her outstanding performance over the Blazers Homecoming weekend. Not only did Holman have one game that she dominated in, she carried it into both matches of the tri-match against the Norwich Cadets and the Saint Joseph's (ME) Monks. Against Norwich, Holman started and had a total of 39 assists to help her team win the match in four sets. Not only did the first year from New Mexico lead in assists she also had 11 digs, attaining a double double against the Cadets.

The Elms' new comer lead the board in assists and digs in the first match of the day, but she carried her momentume against the Monks. Holman had another double double, having 31 assists and 13 digs. 

Jaylen Holman ended the entire week with a total of 70 assists and 24 digs in two total matches played.

The Blazers are home against the Anna Maria AMCATS on Wednesday, Sept. 28th at 7PM in Picknelly Arena.
