Women's Soccer Draws Rivier on Senior Day
CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Elms College Women's Soccer team hosted Rivier University in a conference matchup Saturday afternoon at Leary Field for their annual Senior Day.

PRIOR TO THE GAME
The Elms College Women's Soccer team honored their seven seniors; Emma Cote (Ludlow, Mass.), Hannah Duggan (Palmer, Mass.), Arianna Hamel (Wilbraham, Mass.), Lindsey Jeffrey (Lincoln, R.I.), Kelly Malheiro (Centereach, N.Y.), Mackenzie Quick (Barrington, N.H.), Caroline Wilcox (Pomfret Center, Conn.), three graduate students; Hannah Kolodziey (East Longmeadow, Mass.), Hailey Magierowski (Brimfield, Mass.), and Kellie Smith (Marshfield, Mass.), and their loved ones prior to the start of the conference matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blazers would out shoot the Raiders 2-1 in the opening 10 minutes, after shots from Hamel and Malheiro. Junior forward Jamie McDonough (Dedham, Mass.) and sophomore forward/midfielder Emily Basua (Oxnard, Cali.) would both record shots for Elms shortly after, but neither would find the back of the net. Rivier would take a shot and it would be saved by Quick. The half would wrap up with shots by Malheiro, Basua, and sophomore midfielder Lilli Ramos (Springfield, Mass.) along with another save by Quick, but the score would remain scoreless going into the halftime break.
The second half would begin with three-straight by the Raiders, but two of those shots would be blocked by the Blazers defense. Quick would make two more saves and would also see shots from Smith and Malheiro, but once again their efforts offensively would not find the back of the net, and the two conference foes would draw 0-0.
