PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Elms College Women's Soccer team faced off against a top-seeded Johnson & Wales University for their conference opener on the road Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Johnson & Wales would take the early advantage in the opening half, scoring in the opening eight minutes. Elms graduate student goalkeeper Hailey Magierowski (Brimfield, Mass.) would save seven of the next nine shots until the Wildcats would score again in the 28th minute. Shortly after, JWU would score their third goal on a penalty kick and score again before the halftime horn went off to go into the break leading 4-0.
During the second half of the game, Elms would find some offensive advantage after a shot by junior forward Jamie McDonough (Dedham, Mass.). Majerowski saved an additional six shots in the second half. The Wildcats would defeat the Blazers, but Elms would keep their head up as they faced a strong JWU opponent.
