Gagne And Grabowski Garner Weekly NEWLA Honors

CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College senior goalkeeper Krystyna Gagne (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomore attacker Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) each earned New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) weekly honors as recently announced by the league office.

Gagne was named NEWLA Defensive Player of the Week after collecting a total of 39 saves including 19 against St. Joseph (Conn.) and 20 against NEWLA foe Becker. Gagne notched a weekly save percentage of .557 in 120 minutes of action.

Grabowski was named NEWLA Co-Rookie of the Week as she scored six goals on nine shots during Elms' 0-2 week. She netted three goals in each of the Blazers' two losses and added four ground ball pickups during the two-game span.
