Parks Named to NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll

KEENE, N.H. - Elms College senior forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was voted to the honor roll in the latest New England Women's Basketball Association weekly report, announced Monday afternoon.

Parks paced the Blazers offensively during a busy 2-1 week for Elms. In a 69-32 thumping of Becker College, Denisha netted a game-high 23 points, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor, with seven rebounds in just 26 minutes of action. During a 71-50 road win at Lesley, registered her fifth double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds, along with a season-high six steals. In a NECC battle at Regis College, Parks poured in a game-high 25 points, her tenth 20-point effort of the season, with five rebounds and two steals.

On the season, Parks leads the NECC in scoring with 21.3 points per game, and ranks second in free throw percentage (84.3), third in steals per game (2.6), fourth in field goal percentage (45.1), and fifth in rebounds per game (9.1).

The Blazers return to the court in a home NECC tilt against Southern Vermont College Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m.
