ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College freshman Hannah Adams (Deerfield, Mass.) was recognized as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Adams kicked off her Blazers career on the right foot, registering 20 kills, 27 digs, six service aces, and two blocks, during the Blazers three-game run at the Blazer Invitational. In her collegiate debut, Adams set a career-high with nine kills and five digs, and then snared a career-high 12 digs with five kills in four sets against SUNY-Cobleskill. Adams filled the stat sheet in the 3-0 win over York, contributing six kills, 10 digs, five service aces and a block.
The Blazers will return to the court when they travel to Western New England University for the Western New England Invitational Saturday afternoon. Elms battles Emerson at 11:00 a.m., followed by a tilt with the host Golden Bears at 3:30 p.m.
