2011 NEWLA Preseason Poll Announced

CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Elms College women's lacrosse team was chosen to finish eighth in the 2011 New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) Preseason Poll as announced by the league on Wednesday.

Three-time defending champion Bridgewater State was selected as the preseason favorite in a vote conducted by the league's head coaches. The Bears received seven first place votes for a total of 63 points.

Castleton, which finished in a three way tie last season at 6-1 received one first place votes and 53 points and placed second in the poll.
