Swimming Brings Home Eight GNAC Season Accolades

WINTHROP, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced their 2025-26 Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Season Accolades on Monday morning.

The Elms College Men's and Women's Swimming teams would receive a total of eight accolades for their accomplishments in and out of the pool.

Sophomore Daniel Hneen (Giza, Egypt) would earn All-Conference in the Men's 50-Yard Butterfly, after placing third in the event.

Senior Joni McGillis (Katy, Texas), junior Sasha Plotniak (South Hadley, Mass.), sophomore Alissa Schettini (Pittsfield, Mass.), and first year Rachel McNally (Palmer, Mass.) would earn All-Conference in the Women's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, after placing second in the event, and in the Women's 800-Yard Freestyle Relay, after placing third in the event..

McGillis would also earn All-Conference in the Women's 50-Yard Freestyle, after placing third in the event, and would be named to the 2025-26 GNAC Women's Swimming All-Sportsmanship Team.

First year José Avila (Venezuela) was named to the 2025-26 GNAC Men's Swimming All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Elms College Men's and Women's Swimming Teams would both be named the 2025-26 GNAC Men's and Women's Institutional Sportsmanship Teams.
