Forrest, Sadowski Garner NECC Weekly Awards

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior outfielder Brady Forrest (Hampden, Mass.) and sophomore pitcher Andrew Sadowski (Northampton, Mass.) earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) weekly honors in the sport of baseball as announced by the league on Monday.

Forrest was named the NECC Player of the Week after helping Elms to a 2-1 week. Forrest was 6 for 12 with two doubles, six runs scored and five runs driven in. He had a 4 for 5 effort in an 11-3 victory over the University of Maine-Presque Isle in game one and also scored three times in that victory. This is Forrest's first weekly honor of the season.

Sadowski was named the NECC Pitcher of the Week following a complete-game, seven-inning shutout victory in game two against Maine-Presque Isle. Sadowski earned his first win of the season and first pitcher of the week award after tossing eight strikeouts and surrendering just six hits as the Blazers posted an 8-0 win.
