Jennifer Killion

Elms College junior women's soccer player Jennifer Killion (Cambridge, Mass.) was selected as this week's female student athlete spotlight.

In her third season as a member of the women's soccer program, Killion is a nursing major at Elms.

During the 2010 season Killion, a First Team All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) selection, scored a single-season career-high 17 goals from her forward position and netted 12 of those during league action. She also added four of her five assists for the season during NECC play helping her secure three NECC Player of the Week awards and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week award. In three seasons with the Blazers, Killion has totaled 29 goals, eight assists and 66 points.

Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):

My favorite sports moment was scoring the tying goal in the NECC Championship game in 2008.

Who has been your biggest influence in sports and why:

My family has been my biggest influence because they have always pushed me to be the best I can be and to follow and achieve my dreams.

Why did you choose to attend Elms College:

I chose Elms College for the small diverse family-like community and so I could continue my Catholic education in college.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why:

My favorite place to travel to is the beach because that is my favorite place on Earth to be.

Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

I would like to go to Ireland because that's where my family is from and France because I love the language.

What is your favorite sports book or movie:

My favorite movie is The Blindside because it is inspirational.
