Chelsey Grabowski

Student Athlete Spotlight

Chelsey Grabowski - Elms College sophomore women’s lacrosse player Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) was selected as this week's female student athlete spotlight.

A nursing major, Grabowski chose Elms College because she could enter a prestigious nursing program at a school close to home.

Grabowski likes to watch baseball and would one day love to visit tropical Hawaii.

"Coach Katie Grabiec has been my biggest influence in athletics. She has taught me how to juggle work, school and playing a collegiate sport. She has also helped make me a better player, pointing out things I can work on and has always been positive about it."

During the 2010 season, Grabowski was the Blazers' leading scorer with 19 goals and tied for the team high in assists with three to accumulate 22 points on the season. She was second on the squad in groundball pickups with 27 and also had a team-best 27 draw controls. Grabowski was twice named New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) Rookie of the Week and scored a personal best four goals in a contest against Thomas College on April 3.
