Brogna Earns First-Ever ECAC Player Of The Week Award

BROGNA EARNS FIRST-EVER ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

CENTERVILLE, MA, Jan. 27, 2009 - Women's basketball junior forward Amanda Brogna (Oxford, MA) was named ECAC Division III New England Player of the Week on Tuesday, January 27.

Brogna, the New England Collegiate Conference's (NECC) Player of the Week in each of the last two weeks, averaged 23 points, 16 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

In a 72-67 loss at Daniel Webster, she netted 26 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out three assists. 

She followed with another strong performance in a 78-66 victory over Becker, tallying 20 points, 18 boards and two assists.

Tuesday's award marked the first from the ECAC of Brogna's collegiate career.
