Kaylyn Conroy - Elms College junior softball player
Kaylyn Conroy (Pittsfield, Mass.) was chosen as
this week's female student athlete spotlight.
Conroy is a nursing major at Elms and is entering her third season as a member of the Blazers' softball team.
Through the first two years of her career at Elms, Conroy has connected for eight hits, driven in seven runs, earned four walks, and has scored nine runs. Used primarily as a situational outfielder, Conroy saw significant action in 2010, starting 14 of the 20 games she played in during the Blazers' run to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championship game. Conroy earned seven putouts and delivered one assist en route to a .889 fielding percentage.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
My favorite sports moment is playing softball with Alison McBride.
Who has been your biggest influence outside of sports and why:
My parents because they have been there for me through everything and have always supported the decisions that I've made.
Why did you choose to attend Elms College:
Where is your favorite place to travel and why:
I like to travel to warm, tropical places because I love being outside and in the sun.
Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

Field of Dreams because it is an inspiring movie.
