Aaron Starke

Elms College freshman men's swimmer Aaron Starke (Chicopee, Mass.) was selected as this week's male student athlete spotlight.

A business management major at Elms, Starke is in his first year as a member of the men's swim team.

Through the first half of the 2010-11 season, Starke has played a huge roll in helping the squad to a 2-1 record. Starke posted a win in the 100-yard freestyle on Nov. 13 at St. Joseph College (Maine) with a time of 54.24 and also won the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events against Colby-Sawyer College on Nov. 20 at Partyka Natatorium. Starke clocked times of 26.76 and 59.99 respectively in those events. He is also a part of the 200-meter freestyle relay team that powered its way to a school record time of 1:44.73 on Dec. 11 against UMass-Dartmouth.
