Keegan Goan

Elms College freshman men's swimmer Keegan Goan (Westbrook, Maine) was chosen as this week's male student athlete spotlight.

Goan is in his first season as a member of the Blazers' swimming program and is an accounting major at Elms.

In his first season swimming at the collegiate level, Goan has already made an impact in the sprint events. He has recorded four victories including top times in the 50-yard freestyle (23.66), and the 50-yard butterfly (25.45), as well as a win in the 50-meter backstroke (31.45) and a school record in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 28.24.

Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):

My favorite sports moment is being on top of the medal stand with my relay team or by myself.

Who has been your biggest influence in sports and why:

My parents because they are always behind me.

Why did you choose to attend Elms College:

I chose Elms College because I loved the campus and the swim coaches.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why:

I like traveling to Florida. It's nice and warm and beautiful.

Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

I would like to visit Las Vegas to gamble and see the city.

What is your favorite sports book or movie:

My favorite movie is Caddyshack, it is just so funny!
