Justin Pearson - Elms College senior men's soccer player Justin Pearson (Torrington, Conn.) was selected as this month's male student athlete spotlight.

A business managment major with a minor in art is entering his fourth season as a member of the Blazers' men's soccer program.

Pearson, who loves to draw in his spare time, chose Elms College because "it's a very friendly place with a strong business program which is what I wanted to study. It also has a great athletic facility. All the other students made me feel at home - like I was already a part of the team before I even started."

During the 2009 season, Pearson started 18 of the team's 19 games and scored three goals for the Blazers. Primarily a defender, he netted his first goal of the season in a 2-1 victory over Mount Ida and scored his second goal in a 3-2 loss against Rivier. Pearson capped his scoring for the campaign with a goal in the team's 2-1 victory over Becker in the regular season finale and has now totaled five career goals for Elms.
