Andrew Atton

Elms College freshman men's soccer player Andrew Atton (Saugus, Mass.) was chosen as this week's male student athlete spotlight.

Atton, a sociology major at Elms, completed his first season as a member of the Blazers' men's soccer program in 2010.

During the 2010 season, Atton served as an impact player in 14 games off the bench for Elms and started four games. Atton scored three goals and totaled six points during the campaign all of which came in the team's second to last game of the regular season - a 10-0 win over New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) foe Wheelock College.

Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):

My favorite sports moment was scoring three goals in a game at the U-10 level.

Who has been your biggest influence in sports and why:

My father because he has always pushed me to be the best I can be.

Why did you choose to attend Elms College:

I chose Elms College because it is a nice small school and also to play soccer.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why:

My favorite place to travel to is Florida because it is so nice.

Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

I would like to visit the Dominican Republic because I have heard it is a fun time.

What is your favorite sports book or movie:

My favorite movie is White Men Can't Jump because it is a reference to something that could happen.
