Carson Miller
Elms College sophomore men's basketball player Carson Miller (New Oxford, Pa.) was selected as this week's male student athlete spotlight.
Miller, a math education major at Elms, is currently in his first season as a member of the Blazers' men's basketball program.
In 12 starts and 18 games played for Elms so far, Miller has netted 71 points and hauled in 43 rebounds for the Blazers. Miller scored a collegiate-career high 11 points in an 81-46 victory over Daniel Webster College on 5 of 5 shooting from the floor. He also scored 10 points in the second game of the season - a 10-point 89-79 win over St. Joseph's College Long Island. He is also second on the team in blocked shots with 15, highlighted by a three-block effort in an overtime win at Wheaton College.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
My favorite sports moments are playing friday night football. Nothing compares to playing high school football under the lights.
Who has been your biggest influence in sports and why:
My mother because she raised me and taught me everything I know.
