Jamal Hulum
Jamal Hulum - Elms College sophomore men's basketball
player Jamal Hulum (Reston, Va.) was selected as
this week's male student athlete spotlight.
Hulum is a management and marketing major at Elms and is entering his second season as a member of the men's basketball program.
Hulum saw action in 17 games during the 2009-10 season, helping the Blazers win their sixth straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) championship and the program's first ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) title. Hulum totaled 17 points and 15 rebounds in 53 minutes of action, swatted five shots and recorded three steals during his first campaign at Elms.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
My favorite sports moment was when I hit the game-winning three-pointer during a high school game.
Who has been your biggest influence outside of sports and why:
My mom is my biggest influence because she does everything for me with no help.
Why did you choose to attend Elms College:
Where is your favorite place to travel and why:
My favorite place to travel to is Norfolk, Va. beause that is where I am originally from.
Where is the one place you would like to travel to in the future and why:

My favorite movie for basketball is Crossover because
it's about someone who just loves the game.
