Andrea Ramsdell
Andrea Ramsdell - Elms College senior field hockey player
Andrea Ramsdell (Gardner, Mass.) was chosen as
this week's female student athlete spotlight.
Ramsdell, a two-sport athlete in field hockey and softball is a biology major at Elms and is currently in her second season with the field hockey program.
In 17 games played last season, Ramsdell netted a pair of goals and recorded three assists. Both of Ramsdell's scorers were game-winners and both came in two separate meetings with Bay Path College. Through 15 games this season, Ramsdell has connected for an assist. Ramsdell is also a pitcher on the softball team. In 2010, Ramsdell struck out 31 batters in 73.1 innings in the circle for the Blazers en route to a pair of victories.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
My favorite sports moment was when I pitched my first no-hitter when I was 12.
Who has been your biggest influence outside of sports and why:
My dad. He has been there for me through every sports and academic adventure with full support.
Why did you choose to attend Elms College:
Where is your favorite place to travel and why:
My favorite place to travel to is Colorado. It is beautiful, there is a ton to do and my best friend from kindergarten lives there.

What is your favorite sports book or movie:
My favorite movie is A League Of Their Own.
