Jaclyn Mederios - Elms College sophomore field
hockey player Jaclyn Mederios (Brant Rock, Mass.)
was chosen as this week's female student athlete spotlight.
Mederios is a paralegal major that is entering her second season as a member of the field hockey team. In the spring, Mederios also plays women's lacrosse.
During the 2009 field hockey season, Mederios played 11 games as a forward and helped pace the Blazers' offense. During the 2010 women's lacrosse campaign, she registered an assist, scooped nine groundballs, earned three draw controls and caused a pair of turnovers.
Briefly describe your favorite sports moment (playing or as a fan):
My favorite moment playing a sport was the first time I ever played in a field hockey game.
Who has been your biggest influence outside of
sports and why:
My sister. She has always been there for me and is a very strong
person.
