Brendan Cordeiro - Elms College junior baseball player
Brendan Cordeiro (Berkley, Mass.) was selected as
this week's male student athlete spotlight.
Cordeiro is an accounting major who draws his inspiration from his father.
His favorite song to hear at the ballpark is Centerfield by John Fogerty, and Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill. is the coolest place he has traveled to.

On the field, Cordeiro is the Blazers' starting shortstop and leads the team with 37 hits in 100 at-bats for a .370 batting average. Cordeiro was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week on April 26, is currently on a 12-game hitting streak and has recorded multiple hits in 10 games so far this season, including a four-hit output in a 9-3 victory over Southern Vermont College on April 18. He is also tied for the team lead in runs scored (28) and is tied for second with an on-base percentage of .484.
