Elms College Athletics Hosts Special Olympics Event

CHICOPEE, Mass. -  Members of the Elms College softball, field hockey, women's basketball and women's soccer teams recently  hosted the first in a series of Special Olympic events on Sunday, December 8 at Picknelly Arena.

The Blazers hosted a basketball game for the Special Olympians and had a tremendous turnout. The Elms softball players and coaches performed all game management responsibilities from running the scoreboard to officiating the game.

Dates for the next Special Olympics events on campus are as follows:
Sunday, February 9 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 16 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 23 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 2 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
